Most Men’s Sheds will admit that areas such as insurance, equipment upgrades and replacement, materials and utility costs are the main areas of expenditure. There are other costs associated with items such as training and safety, which vary from shed to shed. In our case, we operate a tight budgeting system and endeavour to keep essential costs to a minimum and discretionary expenditure to essential items.

We also welcome donations of tools and wood – items will be used at the Shed where possible, passed on to our members, or sold to raise funds to keep the shed running. Any surplus that we cannot use is passed back onto the community areas. Nothing goes to waste here ! !
At present, we are working on many different community projects, and we need any material and tools that we can get our hands on. If there is anything to be had in our general vicinity, we would be happy to come and collect it.
Donations of products and tools/equipment or pre-loved items make a real difference to not-for-profit community groups like Men’s Sheds and from this we are able to return usable products back into the community.
